Cabrinha 04 Access
   


The RECON equipped Access is our entry level and recreational kite. It is the lowest aspect ratio kite in our range. The low AR is credited for the easy handling, steady power range, and effortless water relaunching of the Access. We all know that school and recreational kites sometimes take the worst beating. Special reinforcements have been added to the Access to increase its durability. This Recon equipped kite can be configured for 1st time riders so that the depower function is automatically activated when they unhook from the harness and let go of the bar. All of the original Recon release methods are intact even when configured this way.

Construction Features
3D Design
 
Our 3D approach to design is best showcased in all inflated struts and tubes. Our 3D column LE perfectly represents the intended arc and diameter of the original design. The column style LE construction completely eliminates the need for a span wise ridge seam, thus eliminating any chafe previously caused to the canopy by this seam.  
 
Chafe Protection
 
In 2004 we address high abrasion areas with a tough yet lightweight solution. Abrasion on the LE and canopy is combated by a thin polyurethane laminate that is applied directly to the affected areas.  
     
True Match 3D Battens
 
With our new 3D batten design we can create a perfect match between the canopy profile and batten. The unique use of seams follows the canopy arc precisely from trailing edge to leading edge. One of the most important elements to the inflatable strut construction is the connection between the battens and the leading edge. This point is responsible for the frames rigidity and durability. Our Full Contact design creates a wide footprint batten connection to the LE. This produces a rigid frame that further supports the canopy shape for better flying performance and a faster water launch capability.  
 
Airlock Valve
 
The Airlock high volume one way valve is a Cabrinha original. During inflation, the one way valve does not allow air to escape. Even when the pump nozzle is pulled out. The extra large opening allows for even the largest kites to be pumped up in minutes. By unscrewing the deflation cap the kite will deflate and be ready to be rolled up in seconds. The Airlock valve is secured to the leading edge with an “O” ring. The threaded valve cap makes it virtually impossible for the accidental opening of the valve during an impact on land or water.  
     
Polyether TPU Bladder
 
Our move in 2002 to a micro biologic resistant Polyether TPU bladder material has proven beyond a doubt the dependability of our inflatable bladders. The 0.08 mm Polyether TPU together with our proprietary welding techniques and Airlock main valve have raised the quality bar to levels which other brands must now aspire to. The tubes are seamed together with our custom outfitted high frequency welders using a callipered spacer for exact tolerances. Each bladder then goes through a stringent quality inspection which involves inflation and water testing in addition to a thorough visual inspection. The bladders are then inserted into the kites, inflated and left for hours before given the final approval.  
 
Moulded Seam Protectors
 
The molded seam protectors on all Cabrinha kites are made of pliable EVA material that conforms to any shape or profile.
