Airtime is the first bladder manufacturer to build specific leading edge bladders with one piece of polyurethane. These bladders have fewer seams, reducing failure points and allowing for up to 80% more stretch than original bladders.
Airtime uses their own specially developed blend of polyurethane designed for long life and endurance.
Design:
Airtime bladders are the only oversized bladders available. There are many benefits to using oversized bladders. The sewn leading edge sleeve provides the strength and shape for your kite while the bladder works to contain the air. An oversized bladder never fully expands inside the sleeve.
This means under impact there is no stress on the polyurethane of the bladder and much less stress on the seams and the leading edge sleeve of the kite. As a result an Airtime bladder will out-live any other bladder available and be kinder to your kite.
Dual Valve Option:
Airtime gives the customer the option between dual or
single valves. All leading edge bladders, 25' and larger, have two inflation valves. The first valve has been activated and the second valve is sealed from the factory with a polyurethane membrane. Simply remove the second valve for single valve kites or rupture the membrane for use in dual valve kites.
Bladder Sizing:
The length of the leading edge is measured from tip to tip across the top seam, or the top of the arc formed when inflated. Choose the size closest to, but LARGER than your measurement.
