In April we set out to create a film that captured the ever evolving and thrilling sport of Kiteboarding. After a busy schedule of coordinating with the athletes and getting some of the best names in the sport, everyone came together in southwest Puerto Rico at the Kitehouse.
"Into the Air" was born out of the desire to create the first film of its kind for the Kiteboarding community and audiences interested in the sport. Our approach was simple; have the viewer experience the sport up close with some of the best riders and get to know more about Kiteboarding and the athletes behind it. We were able to work with athletes who have an intimate connection with the sport by teaching it to others as well as some of the top athletes competing at the highest level of Kiteboarding competitions.
In three months we put together an award winning crew. It was one of the most intense shooting schedules in a beautiful, but remote location of Puerto Rico. The production took place for only ten days with the backdrop of powerful winds, sunny skies, and lots of Kiteboarding. Our journeys took us among the mangroves in the Southwest, to the central rainforests, and interesting experiences in San Juan to say the least.
Not only can you check out the latest tricks, maneuvers, and bear witness to the huge airs, but feel immersed in the sport through the visuals we captured.
